CAFM Software Security Policy . . .

Throughout Tabs we employ recognised login procedures to ensure conformity with all IT environments. Tabs is entirely compatible with all Windows client and server operating systems. Active Directory is inherently supported throughout Tabs. Our login techniques can recognise Novell systems when required to do so.

There are 3 tiers of security within Tabs. Obviously we respect the initial login by users to the network either via Windows or Novell logins. Users then have to login to Tabs whether it be the core system, Intranet or mobile systems. This login procedure inherits an internal Tabs security profile along with the SQL Server security.

Tabs Management Information System (Client Machine)

ODBC or ADO connection through to the SQL Server, using either Windows NT or SQL Authentication.

Once a user has logged into Tabs, Global, Modules and User-Level profiles are used throughout Tabs to control access rights.

Restrictions may be placed on SQL Server objects as deemed necessary.

Tabs Mobile CAFM System (Field Engineers)

The connection to the SQL Server can use Windows NT or SQL Authentication. The IIS connection will normally use trusted NT authentication.

The Tabs Mobile system also incorporates secure SSL certificates

IIS Server (Web Services)

ADO.NET connection through to SQL Server, using either Windows NT or SQL Authentication.

The Intranet System can be configured by the Management Information System to use either Forms Based Authentication, Windows NT Security or Active Directory Security Login Modes.

Intranet login modes also support Case Sensitive Login, Password and Passphrase (character specific) encryption with timed expiration/renewal rates. Traffic location source and access logs also recorded
